With an emphasis on maintaining our culture, we find people who possess the domain expertise as well as the fit and other intangibles that are accretive to the vision and mission of the company. From this paradigm we have expanded the management team to keep pace with the stage of the business.

Melyssa Romney

Co-founder & Chairwoman

Melyssa Romney drives strategic relationship management, business development, and enforces quality values company-wide.

Melyssa co-founded Prowess in 2003 and served as CEO until 2006, establishing key relationships and defining core competencies and fundamental business processes during the beginning stages of the company. Melyssa brings to bear a diverse work history across business and technical disciplines. Prior to Prowess, Melyssa was a software quality assurance director at a healthcare vertical web portal where she gained key technical insight and low level business process experience. She began her professional career in professional services, working in public relations in the technology and traditional publishing industries for both agencies and also in-house roles, gaining a range of both client-side and industry-wide experience.

Melyssa holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Utah.

Aaron Suzuki

Co-founder & CEO

At Prowess, Aaron Suzuki is an active manager for both the service and product development initiatives of the company.

Aaron has spent his entire career as an IT consultant. Rising at the age of 26 to the role of President for a regional Internet application development firm, Aaron led the company successfully through the economic downturn of the early 2000's. Aaron then moved to a broader technology business opportunity, taking on the revival of an ailing Seattle-based IT firm where he acted as the Director of Business Development.

Aaron is the Chief Executive Officer and co-founded Prowess in 2003, where he helps create and instill process in production and management. Aaron is responsible for the ongoing operations of the business including day to day management, he drives the strategic direction of the company, and he is the primary liaison to the Advisory Board.

Aaron holds a Master of Science Degree from the University of Iowa.

Mark Sabo

CFO

After 30 years as a finance and operations executive, Mark Sabo has aligned with Prowess as Chief Financial Officer. Mark is responsible for managing the financial aspects of the growing business.

Mark’s work history began with a “grassroots to NASDAQ” story in which his family’s single auto parts store in Detroit grew to a publicly traded chain of seventy stores with 1,500 employees and $100 million in revenues. He had his hands on every aspect of the business, from sales clerk to senior manager.

After earning his certified public accountant license, Mark worked for CPA firms whose clients included the Ford Motor Company, Coopers and Lybrand, and the United States Department of Labor. The subsequent 14 years were spent in broadcast as Controller for two large-market television stations where Mark was became an expert in the complex issues surrounding ownership change, including valuation, goodwill analysis and internal controls structure.

Mark Sabo holds an MBA from Seattle Pacific University and he has been an adjunct professor of accounting at Northwest University, and lecturer at the University of Washington Business School, Highline Community College and Central Washington University.
